Welcome to The Hat Factory! The Hat Factory is community office space for geeks and media hackers. We’re a group of open sourcers, video bloggers, Drupal developers, and more who are tired of working from coffee shops and home every day. All are welcome to come work here instead of a noisy coffee shop any day we’re open (usually M-F 10-6 or later). There is a core group of us (The Anchors) who pay the base rent on this place, though we’re always looking for more folks; the more Anchors, the less rent we’ll pay. There are also the folks, like possibly you reading this, that can pay a day rate (Day Trippers) and come when ever you feel like it and not have to pay da rent. Oh, man! (whiny voice) I wish the Hat Factory was in L.A. Zadi and I are close to going mad from working in this shitty little apartment 24 hours a day!!!! They have communal offices here, but they are full of L.A. slimeballs!

Oh, man, how much would I give to be able to come and work there. I mean, you’ve got me all excited about looking into co-working here, but DAMN… work permits (and lack thereof) suck. Maybe I could come and not work there. But that would kind of defeat the point.
I went to Dogpatch once. I was looking for where Scorpio killed the little boy in Dirty Harry (corner of Sierra and Texas) and afterwards I went and had maybe the best pancakes I’ve ever had at a place called Mabel’s Just For You. That was when I realised that pancakes were what God eats for breakfast. That whole IHOP adventure that everybody at Pixelodeon filmed - that was about me chasing the Mabel’s Just For You dragon. Oh God, that just makes me more depressed that I can’t come and work at the Hat Factory.
