I love that you are documenting stories like this. Stories that show the positive and altruistic change that people are capable of creating.

I have studied how telemedicine works as a technique for reaching rural communities. It is a controversial phenomena in social work because from a holistic perspective it can lead to the “quick fix” mentality. But it seems to work well in this circumstance.

this clip tells us “only” of the great work that savitri is doing..
what it doesnt tell us is what all she has had to give up to do what shes doing – giving up a comfortable, sheltered lifestyle in a big city to go and live in a village, to care for people she doesnt even know… just because theyre her countrymen in need of help.. people who will never understand how difficult it is to adjust to living in a village, being used to all the luxuries in life, all her life.

my respect and admiration knows no bounds..
