Your bathroom is a sacred place where you clean your body inside and out (literally). What better way to treat yourself than to green it up a bit? There are so many little things that can be done to make sure that every thing coming in (water, soap, humans) and every thing going out (water, soap, poop) is clean and green. Thanks to Cheryl Colan from Node101 Phoenix for sharing her green bathroom secrets too! Our favorite green products mentioned: Dr. Bronner’s Soaps and Bio-Clean.

I have 3 cats. I use “Scwheat” kitty litter - it’s made of wheat! Some kind of wheat leavings. It’s really absorbent, biodegradable and flushable if you don’t wish to compost it.
The straight razor is on my list - I’ve been obsessing over green shaving for about 4 months now & that’s the way to go.
Now will someone help tell me whats all this about. Whats with the green stuffs
I still use that scary, sandy clumping cat litter - I’m too afraid my roommates will flip out if I use anything flushable or biodegradable because it won’t be as “efficient”, smell-wise. I need to shop around for an alternative that pleases everyone.
My ex had all of the shaving goodness you mentioned b/c I bought it for him (it was half just because it was cool). It was a really great investment in terms of generally saving waste - that stuff lasts forever!
hi dave
not sure i understand your question fully
but i can try to explain
the green movement is an environmental movement made up of individuals, business and organizations
trying to do things more sustainably.
in my mind it’s about reducing and ultimately eliminating ‘waste’
and carbon output into the atmosphere.
and many other things that i can’t quite articulate in an email.
this is why we videoblog
if you check out our archive of videos
you might get a better sense as to what kinds of stories in the green movement we’re interested in:

Awesome. I love that you’re giving practical and simple steps for people who are just starting to think they can make a change as well as more advanced steps for people who might think they’re “doing enough” already. You’re a great motivator, thanks!
thanks serra!
i’m all about action!
This is such a great video. Very cool.
A customer of mine (thanks Claire) pointed out she learned about Bio-Clean from your website. My girls and want to thank you for giving us a plug as a Bio-Clean retailer. BTW the whole concept of your site is great.
As Cheryl (sp)? stated in the video that “you get a monthly reminder, refridgerator magnet” unfortuneatly is no longer. Our supplier kept backordering these nifty timers on us so we just gave up. Sorry.
Thanks again. John Stockton, JSPlumber.com LLC
Glad you’re in business John putting out the good word. This is how it all becomes real.
