It’s really exciting to see other videobloggers exploring sustainable, green practices and documenting it! Rhett and Amy from Greentime show us how to simply recycle some of the water we tend to waste. I’m totally getting a bucket for the bath tub now! [Original Link]

Oh cool! Yay Greentime. I actually do this – the bucket flush & watering plants with “waiting for hot” water. And we do a little greywater recycling by diverting the drain from our clothes washing machine to a contained garden area where we have an ornamental tree. We only use biodegradable detergent products, and we let the fallen tree leaves form a thick mulch surface, so the water is a direct pour and stays under the leaves. The tree’s water needs seem to be about the same as our clothes washing use.

    Ryan,
Great video, it’s really and excellent how to for beginners who want to make a difference but don’t really know where to start. If you get a chance, could you re-post this video on our greywater recycling community? One of the functions of our community is to encourage others to water harvest and it would be awesome if you would come join our community. Thanks, and keep it up!
