Another tragedy in the “greatest Nation on Earth”, ( how I often hear the U.S. reffered to).
Apparently there will be no legal closure to this.
i did not know Kirsten. But she reminded me of me. And others who have tried to make a difference in a Nation that needs difference infused into it.

This is a tragedy. I am deeply saddened by this. I have been to this beautiful event she started in Dolores Park many times and know mutual friends of Kirsten. My condolences to all her friends and family.

this is just so tragic. so unfortunate. i don’t know her, and never had heard of her before today… but she sounds like a hero. larger than life, and although she may be gone she had enough ideas to live on forever.

Kirsten Brydum was a really sweet woman and
I wish her family that they should feel proud that their relative
was such a good person and made a name for herself at such a young age.
Maybe they will change the Really Free Free Market to honor her memory.

I thought Kirsten was a goddess. She and I went to New College together and we both organized events and advocated like crazy inside school and out.

If anyone is curious. This is where they found her, I seriously doubt she was riding her bike through this ‘hood

Kirsten was my college roommate my freshman and sophomore year at UC San Diego. She was always a free-spirited, caring and loving friend.

Found this somehow on the web and i’m struck by what a wonderful, caring visionary she was, what a tragedy for those who knew her (which obviously meant to love her) and what a loss for humanity (at such a difficult time as now).

somehow i’ll try to work her story into a conversation with my 14 year old daughter, casually mentioning at the right time about bravely living a good life on positive principles, and i’ll use the phrase, “like there was a really neat person named kirsten i heard about, who organized…”

I am Kirsten’s cousin. I’m currently in Madrid, Spain, but I do have information about the service and ways to contact her father, sister, cousins and grandparents, all of whom are still living in California. Her father (Steen) has also set up a memorial website, where you can view and comment on photos and share information, as well as find the memorial service information. Thank you for your condolences and please feel free to contact me. Since I’m unable to attend the service (I simply don’t have the money to get back to LA), I feel I should facilitate as many people as possible attending her memorial. The website is:
